As humans we have a tendency to get so passionate about the things we care most about, that sometimes we maybe hurting ourselves with out even knowing it. “Being healthy” can be seen in many forms. I believe health is about taking care of that inner voice, the message behind the action and choosing to honour it. Health isn’t perfection, it’s not having the perfect body, or eating the perfect diet, or working out x amount of times. It can be seen as choosing to let go of your tight dietary restriction when out celebrating or eating with loved ones, because in the moment it may just not be about the food and more about the connection with others. It can be choosing to go for a walk along a river instead of your usual run, yoga or cycle class. I choose to see health as finding that balance with in ourselves where we are aware and mindful of everything around us while honouring one self. #health

Back when I was a kid one of my favourite dishes was hamburger helper 🙈 so it wasn't a surprise when I challenged myself to recreate the dish. I didn't just want it to be plant based but also full of nutrients. So here you have it.... Plant based Cheese Burger Macaroni; A seasoned walnut meat smothered in a cheesy vegan cauliflower cream sauce on gluten free brown rice noodles garnished with green onions. A jicama looks like a potato, it’s firm but crisp like a apple, and has a very subtle sweet, starchy flavour. It can be eaten raw or cooked. We love to use it as a replacement of white rice for added nutrition. Just peel and grate!

Hi it’s been awhile since I’ve introduced myself so for everyone who is new on my journey, welcome! And for everyone who’s been here from the beginning I am forever grateful for you. For those of you who don’t know me my name is Sheena Rozak and I’m the very proud owner of Rooted. I’m a mother of 3 and the woman behind the boxes. Being an e-commerce business I find it extremely empowering that we are capable of growth and to have an impact unlike any before. Being able to reach so many souls is such a blessing, but from a selfish stand point I’m sad that I hardly, really get to meet any of you. My clients/customers my Rooted community. Entrepreneurship is hard work especially for me in this platform. If you were to speak to anyone that knows me, they would tell you how much I would love to meet you all, get to know you and your families by name so that I could express my gratitude for everything you have done for my life. You guys are what make my dream of awakening the consciousness around food and connection a reality.
